Potrà istituire al proprio interno i centri di competenza e le unità operative che riterrà necessarie, utili o opportune e, in particalare un'unità medica e di expertise cliniche e patologiche legate alla ricerca; un'unità di data management con relative divisioni di scienze informatiche e di computing; un'unità preposta all'esame e all'applicazione delle regolamentazioni di ogni tipo riguardanti la ricerca clinica e in vigore nei paesi toccati dall'attività della Fondazione, inclusi i relativi aspetti legali; un'unità di scienze statistiche e bio-statistiche dedicata alla conduzione, alla valutazione e all'interpretazione di studi clinici facente capo a Frontier Science and Technology Research con sede a Boston. Potrà attivare rapporti di collaborazione con Università, Istituti specializzati, medici, entità pubbliche e private, incluse altre fondazioni, sia in Svizzera che all'estero, con particolare attenzione, per quanto concerne le collaborazioni estere, all'iItalia, alla Scozia e agli Stati Uniti.
