## Purpose

Zweck der Stiftung ist die gemeinnützige Förderung der Qualität und der Transparenz in Bildung und Wissenschaft durch die Vergabe eines Gütesiegels für Bildungsprogramme und für Bildungsträger im tertiären und quartären Bereich im In- und Ausland. Die Stiftung verwirklicht ihren Zweck insbesondere durch Entwicklung geeigneter Methoden und Instrumentarien, welche die Qualitätsrichtlinien für das jeweilige Ausbildungsziel von Bildungsangeboten und Institutionen definieren. Ferner durch Einrichtung einschlägiger Kommissionen, welche auf Antrag Bildungsangebote und - anbieter im internationalen Raum akkreditieren, auditieren, evaluieren und zertifizieren. Darüber hinaus arbeitet die Stiftung im Rahmen internationaler Gremien an der Vergleichbarkeit von Qualitätsstandards und Qualitätssicherungsverfahren im Bildungsbereich mit. Die Stiftung verfolgt ausschliesslich und unmittelbar gemeinnützige Zwecke. In diesem Rahmen darf sie projektgebundene Rücklagen und freie Rücklagen zur Erhöhung des Stiftungsvermögens bilden sowie Zuwendungen ihrem Vermögen zuführen. Die Stiftung ist selbstlos tätig; sie verfolgt nicht in erster Linie eigenwirtschaftliche Zwecke. Mittel der Stiftung dürfen nur für die satzungsmässigen Zwecke verwendet werden. Die Stiftung darf keine Person durch Ausgaben, die dem Zweck der Stiftung fremd sind, oder durch unverhältnismässig hohe Vergütungen begünstigen. Die Stifter und ihre Erben erhalten keine Zuwendungen aus Mitteln der Stiftung.
