## Purpose

Ziel und Zweck des Vereins ist die interdisziplinäre Förderung der Forschung, Entwicklung und Implementation von genossenschaftlich organisierten Landstädten auf der Basis des NESTown Konzepts und seiner Weiterentwicklungen. Dabei stehen die Förderung der Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe, die Verhinderung einer Abhängigkeit von finanzieller Entwicklungshilfe sowie die Implementierung von demokratisch und föderalistisch organisierten genossenschaftlichen Strukturen unter Berücksichtigung der Gleichbehandlung der Geschlechter im Vordergrund. Der Verein hat keinen Erwerbszweck und basiert auf einem persönlichen ehrenamtlichen Engagement seiner Mitglieder. Er kann alle Massnahmen ergreifen, die geeignet sind, diesen Zweck zu erfüllen.
