## Purpose

La Fondazione si prefigge lo scopo di conservare, far conoscere e valorizzare le opere dell'artista Gunter Böhmer, pittore ed illustratore, che hanno un riferimento particolare a Montagnola ed alla Collina d'Oro, dove l'artista ha vissuto ed operato dal 1933 alla sua Morte. In particolare la Fondazione: si impegna a catalogare il patrimonio artistico donato alla Fondazione; provvede alla conservazione, alla cura ed all'esposizione, se possibile permanente, delle opere in una sede idonea nel territorio della Collina d'Oro; si impegna a far conoscere l'opera di Gunter Böhmer, segnatamente organizzando esposizioni, favorendo scambi culturali con altri enti o istituzioni che perseguono scopi analoghi, aprendo la collezione a studi scientifici e organizzando manifestazioni atte a promuovere la conoscenza dell'ambiente artistico e culturale in cui ha operato l'artista; ha facoltà di concedere in deposito opere dell'artista Gunter Böhmer a istituzioni museali estere e svizzere, ticinesi in particolare, e di concedere prestiti per mostre temporanee. La Fondazione persegue obiettivi di pubblica utilità ed opera pertanto senza scopo di lucro. La Fondazione è laica, apolitica e aconfessionale. La Fondazione ha durata illimitata.
