## Purpose

La ricerca per realizzare un modello ripetibile di cooperazione capace di dare dinamismo all'autopromozione nel Madagascar ed eventualmente, in progresso di tempi, in altri Paesi in via di sviluppo, la fondazione ha quindi carattere internazionale. Il modello prevede la sinergia di micro-interventi in vari settori: ambiente, educazione, sanità sociale, agricoltura, pesca, commercio, industria, turismo, comunicazione e trasporti, servizi, ecc.. Il modello ha come strategia di promuovere iniziative tendenti allo sviluppo sanitario e sociale, attraverso la creazione di infrastrutture di base; creare le condizioni, per uno sviluppo economico attraverso iniziative che rispettino la cultura, le tradizioni, l'etica, la popolazione locale e l'ambiente; promuovere conoscenze scientifiche, "ricerca-azione", "scuole-cantieri" nei vari settori; instaurare una rete di cooperazione bilaterale che prevede attività di gemellaggio fra Madagascar e Svizzera (sanitarie, sociali, educative), scambi di competenze o formazione attraverso stages, borse di studio, seminari, pubblicazioni, ecc.. Per la realizzazione del modello, la fondazione si avvale di specialisti malgasci, svizzeri e di internazionali per periodi limitati, la partecipazione attiva, propositiva e decisionale della popolazione interessata. la fondazione è apartitica, aconfessionale e non ha finalità lucrative. I valori di solidarietà e reciprocità profondamente radicati nella tradizione malgascia costituiscono il fulcro teorico ed operativo delle finalità della fondazione.
