## Purpose

Essa promuoverà studi, ricerche applicative e realizzazioni per il miglioramento della qualità della vita, secondo gli orientamenti indicati da Angelo Dalle Molle, nei suoi scritti, e riassunti nel suo grafico "Principi concettuali e categorie di problemi". La fondazione concretizzerà i risultati nella costruzione di sistemi di modelli integrabili per la qualità della vita e provvederà a completare tali sistemi, secondo il progredire delle conoscenze e delle risorse umane e finanziarie delle quali verrà a disporre, nonché ad avviarne le applicazioni. La fondazione opererà nel campo della qualità della vita, nell'intento precipuo di umanizzare la produzione e l'uso di beni e servizi in un ottica di utilità sociale. In tutte queste sue attività essa attribuirà massima importanza al problema basilare dell'informazione. La fondazione opererà in continua stretta collaborazione organica con il Centro Studi della Barbariga, l'Istituto Dalle Molle di Studi Semantici e Cognitici (ISSCO), l'Istituto Dalle Molle di Studi sull'Intelligenza Artificiale (IDSIA), la Fondation de l'Institut de recherche Idiap, anciennement l'Institut Dalle Molle d'Intelligence Artificielle Perceptive (Idiap) e il Centre de recherche Dalle Molle sur les Plantes Médicinales et Aromatiques (MEDIPLANT). Essa ricercherà la collaborazione con università o enti culturali, segnatamente per la creazione dei necessari istituti specializzati di ricerca. Provvederà, infine, a mantenere stretti contatti con gli ambienti scientifici internazionali e potrà, a tal fine, istituireanche un premio internazionale.
