## Purpose

En particulier, elle permet à des quotes-parts de remplir leur fonction de fondation même lorsque la constitution d'une fondation autonome sur le plan juridique semble peu judicieuse en raison du rapport entre les frais de constitution et d'administration d'une part, et le capital et son produit d'autre part, pour des raisons d'ordre économique ou autre. La fondation peut, dans les limites de son but et dans le respect des charges dont les quotes-parts sont assorties, soutenir des institutions ou des projets, quelles qu'en soient les formes, de nature sociale, caritative, humanitaire, médicale, écologique, scientifique, culturelle ou autre. La fondation est de droit public, poursuit des fins d'utilité publique et n'a pas de but lucratif. Elle est neutre sur les plans politique et confessionnel.
