## Purpose

Die Stiftung bezweckt, Spitzenforschung und -lehre in den Wirtschafts- und Sozialwissenschaften der Universität Zürich (UZH) nachhaltig zu etablieren und dazu beizutragen, dem Wirtschafts- und Bildungsstandort Zürich einen Platz an der Weltspitze in diesem Bereich zu sichern. Die ProfessorInnen müssen sich durch exzellente Forschung und Lehre auf Weltklasseniveau auszeichnen; die Akquisition und Förderung hervorragender Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler; die Finanzierung von Forschungsprojekten in zukunftsweisenden Bereichen; die Finanzierung von Ressourcen und Infrastruktur für Forschungs- und Lehrtätigkeit, um am Standort Zürich Spitzenforschung und -Lehre zu ermöglichen; die nationale und internationale Zusammenarbeit in Forschung und Lehre sowie die Zusammenarbeit und den Austausch zwischen Forschung und Lehre einerseits und Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft andererseits. Die Stiftung verfolgt weder Erwerbs- noch Selbsthilfezwecke.
