## Purpose

Der Zweck von EANA besteht in der Wahrnehmung und Förderung der gemeinsamen Interessen seiner Mitglieder in allen Bereichen, die für ihre Arbeit und Tätigkeiten wesentlich sind. Ziel von EANA ist es, die Zukunft der Mitgliedsagenturen als Anbieter unabhängiger Nachrichten sicherzustellen. EANA unterstützt die Prinzipien der Pressefreiheit und ist bestrebt, den Mitgliedern ein im Einklang mit diesen Prinzipien stehendes Arbeiten zu ermöglichen. EANA dient als paneuropäisches professionelles Forum der Herstellung von Kontakten und Kooperation sowie dem Austausch von Informationen, Erfahrungen und Know-how unter ihren Mitgliedern. EANA vertritt die gemeinsamen Interessen ihrer Mitglieder bei der Europäischen Union und anderen internationalen Organisationen. EANA organisiert Seminare zu Themen, die für ihre Mitglieder von gemeinsamem Interesse sind. Diese Seminare decken Themen ab wie die Entwicklung von Inhalten in Nachrichtendiensten, Marketing, Informationstechnologie, Urheberrechte und andere Rechtsfragen im Zusammenhang mit den Medien.
