## Purpose

Die Erträge des Stiftungsvermögens dienen der direkten oder indirekten Unterstützung von Angehörigen des Blumer-Geschlechts mit Bürgerrecht der Gemeinde Glarus Süd sowie mit Wohnsitz im Kanton Glarus (Destinatäre). Unterstützungsbeiträge oder zinslose Darlehen werden in erster Linie zur Milderung oder Beseitigung von unverschuldeten Notlagen ausgerichtet. Sie bestehen in der Beteiligung an Kosten zur Behebung von Folgen durch Krankheit, Unfall, Naturereignissen und dergleichen. In zweiter Linie an Kosten der beruflichen Ausbildung oder wissenschaftlicher Arbeiten. Ausserdem können Beiträge, Darlehen oder Hypotheken mit dem Ziel der Erwerbssicherung oder der Erhaltung der Lebensqualität gewährt werden (direkte Unterstützung). Ausnahmsweise können öffentliche gemeinnützige oder private soziale Institutionen oder Vorhaben mit à-fonds-perdu-Beiträgen (keine Darlehen) unterstützt werden, wenn auch Destinatäre in deren Genuss kommen können (indirekte Unterstützung).
