## Purpose

Der Verein bezweckt als Plattform zu dienen zur Zusammenarbeit ihrer Mitglieder zur Förderung der Anwendung globaler, offener Standards für Technologien, welche verwendet werden für die Nachverfolgung von Gütern (track&trace, T&T), der Verifizierung von Produktionsmengen mittels digitaler Mittel (digital volume verification, DW) und der Echtheitsprüfung von Gütern (Authentifikation), um damit den Herstellungs- und Lieferprozess (Supply Chain) zu schützen, wobei stets die regulatorischen Vorschriften beachtet werden. Die Aktivität des Vereins beinhaltet, Informationen über T&T, DVV und Authentifikation einem Fachpublikum, Verwaltungsbehörden, der Presse und der allgemeinen Öffentlichkeit zugänglich zu machen. Der Verein ist bestrebt das Konzept zu verfolgen, wonach neue IT Geräte, Anwendungen, Datenträger und Services überall auf der Welt lückenlos miteinander interagieren können. In diesem Zusammenhang begutachtet der Verein regelmässig die Realisierbarkeit verfügbarer Technologien für T&T, DVV und Authentifikation. Jedem Mitglied steht es frei diejenige Technologie zu verwenden, welche ihm sinnvoll scheint. Der Verein dient ausschliesslich den in diesen Statuten festgehaltenen Zwecken. Die Mitglieder tauschen keine wettbewerbsrelevanten Daten unter einander aus und koordinieren ihr Verhalten nicht in wettbewerbs- oder kartellrechtlich relevanter Weise.
