## Purpose

Der Verein bezweckt die Verbesserung der Lage von Menschen mit Diabetes mellitus im Kanton Zürich und angrenzenden Gebieten ohne eigene Diabetes-Gesellschaft. Dies wird erreicht durch die Schulung und Beratung der Betroffenen, deren Angehörigen und weiteren Interessengruppen sowie durch die podologische Behandlung von Betroffenen mittels medizinischer Fusspflege und Wundversorgung. Der Verein unterstützt Ferienlager für Kinder mit Diabetes mellitus und engagiert sich in den Bereichen Öffentlichkeitsarbeit und Prävention. Soweit es seine Mittel gestatten, fördert der Verein Forschungsprojekte, welche sich mit dem Vereinszweck decken.
