Der CSCMP Roundtable Switzerland ist ein selbständiger Verein zur Verwirklichung der Ziele der Dachgesellschaft des Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) in der Schweiz. Gemeinnützige Aufgaben sind nicht Gegenstand des Vereins. Vielmehr soll er ausschliesslich die Ziele des Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals in der vorstehenden Region realisieren. Das Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals ist eine globale Vereinigung von Supply Chain Fachleuten zur Entwicklung und Verbreitung von Fachwissen an die wachsende Supply Chain- und Logistikbranche. Sie ist eine kosten- und gewinnneutrale Institution, welche federführend in der Entwicklung, Definition, Verständnis und Verbesserung von logistischen Prozessen ist; ein Forum weltweit für den zeitnahen Austausch von Konzepten und praktischen Supply Chain- und Logistiklösungen zur Verfügung stellt; wissenschaftliche Forschung unterstützt und verbreitet, welche die Wertschöpfung und Produktivität innerhalb der Supply Chain steigert; Ausbildungs- und Schulungsprogramme unterstützt, um Aufstiegsmöglichkeiten für Supply Chain Professionals und Logistiker zu fördern. Hierzu arbeitet das Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals auf selbstunterstützender Basis mit Betonung auf Qualität und in Zusammenarbeit mit anderen Organisationen und Institutionen.
