## Purpose

Die Gemeinschaft - welche insbesondere den Islamisch-Gläubigen aus dem ehemaligen Jugoslawien sowie allen anderen Anhängern des islamischen Glaubens offensteht - basiert auf den Prinzipien des Islams bzw. den Lehren des Korans. Die Gemeinschaft ist völlig unpolitischer Natur und bezweckt die Förderung aller humanitären und friedlichen Anliegen, insbesondere des Respekts zwischen allen Menschen ungeachtet ihrer Nationalität, Konfession und Rasse. lm Einzelnen hat die Gemeinschaft folgende Zwecke: Pflege und Weiterentwicklung der islamischen Kultur und Tradition; Leistung eines Beitrages zur internationalen Völkerverständigung; Kampf gegen Rassismus, Hass usw.; Förderung von Toleranz und Gewaltlosigkeit durch Erziehung zu gerechtem, friedlichem und solidarischem Denken und zur Solidarität mit armen Ländern; Mithilfe in Katastrophenfällen; Finanzielle Unterstützung Kranker und sonst notleidender Personen und Familien; Kontakt mit Andersgläubigen und Pflege eines verständnisvollen Zusammenlebens mit anderen Religionen; Abhaltung von Gottesdiensten. Zur Erreichung dieser Ziele wird die Gemeinschaft mit anderen Organisationen, welche gleichgerichtete Zielsetzungen haben, sowie mit den Behörden von Kanton und Stadt St. Gallen zusammenarbeiten. In Verfolgung dieser Zwecke wird die Gemeinschaft einen Imam (Hoxha) zumindest teilzeitweise beiziehen und wird religiösen Unterricht für Kinder, Jugendliche und Erwachsene durchführen. lm Übrigen sollen humanitäre Aktivitäten verschiedenster Art entfaltet werden.
