## Purpose

Die Genossenschaft bezweckt die Förderung von kleineren und mittleren Unternehmungen (KMU) durch Verbürgung von Darlehen und Krediten zugunsten der Genossenschafter sowie weiteren KMU, die nicht Genossenschafter sind zur Eröffnung, Übernahme, Erhaltung und Erweiterung von Betrieben in den Kantonen Bern, Jura, Solothurn, Basel-Stadt, Basel-Landschaft, Luzern, Obwalden und Nidwalden. Im Kanton Aargau ist die Genossenschaft befugt, nebst der dort lokal zuständigen Bürgschaftsorganisation, den Markt ebenfalls zu bearbeiten. Die Genossenschaft kann Grundstücke erwerben, verwalten und veräussern sowie alle Geschäfte eingehen und Verträge abschliessen, die geeignet sind, den Zweck der Genossenschaft zu fördern oder direkt oder indirekt damit in Zusammenhang stehen. Mit Beschluss der Generalversammlung und mit Zustimmung der zuständigen Behörden kann die Tätigkeit auf angrenzende Gebiete ausgedehnt werden. Die Genossenschaft ist eine nach betriebswirtschaftlichen Grundsätzen geführte juristische Person. Die Genossenschaft handelt uneigennützig. Sie verfolgt im Sinne ihres Zwecks öffentliche Aufgaben und strebt keinen Erwerbszweck an. Dieser Zweck wird erreicht durch: a) nebst der Verbürgung von Darlehen und Krediten im Sinne des Hauptzweckes im Weiteren durch Mitwirkung bei Sanierung und Liquidation von Betrieben; b) Übernahme von Kautionen und Baugarantien; c) Übernahme besonderer Aufgaben zur Förderung der KMU.
