Der Verband bezweckt die Wahrung und Förderung der gemeinsamen Interessen seiner Mitglieder, insbesondere durch Mitwirkung bei der Lösung von technischen und kaufmännischen Problemen; Vertretung der Interessen des Beton- und Kiesgewerbes, der Deponien und der Sammel- und Sortierplatzbetreiberin konstruktiver Zusammenarbeit mit Behörden und weiteren Gremien des öffentlichen oder privaten Rechtes; Förderung der werterhaltenden Kreislaufwirtschaft, Erhebung von Stellungnahmen, Vernehmlassungen, Einsprachen und Beschwerden, soweit diese dem Vereinszweck dienen, Schaffung eines kollegialen Kontaktes zwischen den Mitgliedern, Vermitteln von Fachkompetenz und Wissen bezüglich der Gewinnung, Aufbereitung und Anwendung von kreislauffähigen mineralischen Rohstoffen, Baustoffen und Produkten, Organisation von Aus- und Weiterbildungsangebote, Information über neue technische, politische und wirtschaftliche Entwicklungen. Der Verband fördert das Ansehen der kantonalen Kies-, Steine-, Deponie-, Beton- und Recycling-Branche. Er betreibt dazu Öffentlichkeitsarbeit.
