Basel Tourismus dient als Informations- und Auskunftsstelle für Gäste, stellt die touristische Basiswerbung für Basel sicher und profiliert die "Marke Basel" aus touristischer Sicht, fördert die Innovation und Qualität von touristischen Angeboten sowie Digitalisierung von Dienstleistungen und Prozessen, strebt die Öffnung der Distributionskanäle für interessierte Partner an und fördert den Verkauf touristischer Angebote, bereitet touristische Marktinformationen als Entscheidungsgrundlage für sich und seine Mitglieder auf und vertritt die touristischen Interessen nach innen und nach aussen und setzt sich für eine tourismusfreundliche sowie nachhaltige Destinationsentwicklung ein.
