L'associazione pubblica la "Rivista militare Svizzera di lingua italiana" (RMSI); ne è l'editore, ne cura e promuove la diffusione. Essa si prefigge di garantire la distribuzione della rivista ai soci della Società Ticinese degli Ufficiali (STU), alle associazioni interessate, a enti e istituzioni e a singoli abbonati in tutta la Svizzera e all'estero. L'associazione organizza eventi e conferenze con particolare attenzione alla promozione dello spirito di milizia, all'informazione e alla politica di sicurezza del nostro Paese e a ogni altro argomento a essi connesso. L'associazione gestisce l'archivio delle truppe ticinesi depositato presso l'Archivio di Stato. Essa può svolgere ogni altra attività in rapporto con il suo scopo. L'associazione è indipendente, apolitica e aconfessionale; non ha scopo di lucro.
