## Purpose

L'Associazione ha per scopo l'assistenza ai malati, agli infermi e agli anziani bisognosi di aiuto. Essa informa la sua opera ai sentimenti della fraternita umana e cristiana, senza discriminazione etnica, confessionale o politica. L'Associazione non persegue scopo di lucro. In particolare, l'Associazione ha per scopo l'aiuto all'Ospedale Italiano di Lugano, istituto fondato dall'Associazione medesima e da essa gestito fino alla sua cessione all'Ente Ospedaliero Cantonale nell'ambito della Legge cantonale sugli Ospedali pubblici del 20dicembre 1982. L'Associazione veglierà in special modo a che l'Ospedale Italiano di Lugano conservi la sua identità come ospedale acuto, con un proprio responsabile delle cure. L'Associazione ha inoltre per scopo l'aiuto morale ed economico ad altri Enti di pubblica utilità, con sede nel Cantone Ticino, che perseguano scopo di pubblica beneficienza.
