L'Associazione ha per scopo: 1. la promozione, l'organizzazione e lo sviluppo del "Progetto Swiss Railpark / St. Gotthard", elaborato in collaborazione con altri enti; 2. il supporto allo sviluppo economico del Canton Ticino e delle Regioni del San Gottardo e Insubrica; 3. la creazione di nuove attrattive turistiche e eventi; 4. l'acquisizione, il restauro e la conservazione di materiale rotabile ferroviario storico in particolare quello riguardante le linee del San Gottardo e della Valmorea; 5. l'impiego di tale materiale rotabile per la formazione e la condotta di treni storici sulle linee del San Gottardo e della Valmorea nel rispetto di un concetto di museo dinamico; 6. l'acquisizione, il restauro e la conservazione di infrastrutture ferroviarie storiche in generale quelle riguardanti le linee del San Gottardo e della Valmorea in particolare; 7. la collaborazione con enti e associazioni aventi scopi analoghi; 8. il promovimento in generale l'interesse per la ferrovia e per la mobilità sostenibile. 9. L'acquisizione, il restauro, la manutenzione, la conservazione e la presentazione statica e dinamica di veicoli di ogni genere tra i quali a titolo esemplificativo, trotinette, biciclette, motoleggere, motoveicoli, autoveicoli, furgoni, autoarticolati, veicoli agricoli, bus, rimorchi. Inoltre la formazione di specialisti/e di restauro e manutenzione di detti veicoli nonché la gestione delle relative infrastrutture, equipaggiamenti, corsi e personale formativo.
