## Purpose

Errichtung eines Dachverbandes der islamischen Organisationen zur Vertretung der gemeinsamen islamisch-religiösen Anliegen und Interessen in der Schweiz. Der Verein setzt sich für folgende Ziele ein: Ist Ansprechpartner für islamische Interessen gegenüber der Öffentlichkeit in der Schweiz und vertritt die Anliegen der Mitgliederorganisationen, soweit er von diesen durch ein Mandat beauftragt wird; Förderung der Interessen seiner Mitgliederorganisationen; Förderung der Teilnahme und Vertretung aller nicht organisierten Muslime, insbesondere der Familien, der Frauen, der Jugendlichen und der Kinder, an der aktiven Mitgestaltung und Selbstverwaltung in der Schweiz; Aufbau und Betrieb von muslimischen sozialen Diensten und einer islamischen Infrastruktur in der Schweiz, wie z.B. Erteilung von Religionsunterricht an Schulen, Leistung von Sozialarbeit, Ermöglichung der schicklichen Bestattung von Muslimen; Organisation und Begleitung der muslimischen Pilgerreisen nach Mekka. Für eine optimale Beratung, Koordination und kostengünstige Buchung der Reiseziele der pilgerwilligen Muslime führt der Verband ein ihm unterstelltes Reisebüro nach kaufmännischer Art; Förderung der interreligiösen Zusammenarbeit und Dialogbereitschaft mit anderen religiösen Institutionen in der Schweiz; Erfüllung von weiteren Aufgaben, welche dem Verband durch seine Mitglieder übertragen werden.
