## Purpose

Der Verein bezweckt in enger Kooperation mit weiteren Partnern (v.a. aus dem Netzwerk der Landwirtschaft und des Tourismus): die zentrale Koordinationsstelle und Ansprechpartnerin im Schweizer Agrotourismus zu sein; der Verein legt die Strategie für den Schweizer Agrotourismus fest, setzt diese um und optimiert sie laufend; Aktivitäten in allen Sprachregionen der Schweiz in angemessener Weise durchzuführen; die Entwicklung der agrotouristischen Angebote (Schwerpunkt: Übernachtungsangebote) und die Bündelung zu marktfähigen Produkten zu fördern, die Positionierung am Markt zu stärken, die Qualität der Angebote zu sichern und die Nachfrage zu erhöhen; den Agrotourismus als anerkanntes Segment des ländlichen Tourismus in der Schweiz zu etablieren, im schweizerischen Tourismus zu integrieren und die politischen Akteure für dessen betriebs- und zunehmend volkswirtschaftliche Bedeutung zu sensibilisieren, die Akzeptanz zu fördern und die Rahmenbedingungen für die Anbieter zu verbessern; die Interessen ihrer Mitglieder gegenüber Behörden und Öffentlichkeit an den Schnittstellen von Landwirtschaft und Tourismus und im internationalen Kontext zu vertreten; als Dienstleisterin in enger Zusammenarbeit mit dem Schweizerischen Bauernverband (SBV), der landwirtschaftlichen Beratung und den Partnern in der Tourismuswirtschaft Mehrwert für alle Beteiligten im ländlichen Tourismus zu schaffen (u.a. mit Ausbildungs- und Weiterbildungskursen, Info- und Wissensdatenbank).
