## Purpose

Der AeCS ist der Zentralverband der Regional- und Spartenverbände der sportlichen und privaten Luftfahrt. Der AeCS fördert die Luftfahrt in allen ihren Sparten. Er wahrt und fördert besonders die Interessen der sportlichen und privaten Luftfahrt. Der AeCS vertritt die gesamtheitlichen Interessen und Anliegen seiner Mitglieder gegenüber Politik, Behörden und Öffentlichkeit. Er kann zur Wahrung der Interessen seiner Mitglieder Rechtsmittel ergreifen. Der AeCS ist Mitglied der Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI) und stellt in dieser Eigenschaft die allein zuständige Instanz für alle Flugsportdisziplinen in der Schweiz dar.
