## Purpose

Der Verband bezweckt: 1. den Zusammenschluss sowie die Aus- und Weiterbildung der Internen Revisoren von privaten, gemischtwirtschaftlichen und öffentlichen Unternehmungen, von öffentlichen Verwaltungen sowie von Gesellschaften, welche Interne Revisions-Dienstleistungen bei Kunden-Unternehmen erbringen; 2. die Schaffung und Erhaltung eines hohen Qualitätsstandards von Internen Revisionen der angeschlossenen juristischen Personen und öffentlich-rechtlichen Institutionen; 3. die fachliche Förderung des Berufsstandes der Internen Revision; 4. die Entwicklung und Verbreitung von Grundsätzen und Methoden zur fachlich hochstehenden Berufsausübung; 5. die Förderung des fachlichen und branchenbezogenen Erfahrungsaustausches auf regionaler, schweizerischer und internationaler Ebene. Als nationale Vertretung des Institute of Internal Auditors (llA lnc.) sowie als Mitglied der European Confederation of Institutes of Internal Auditing (ECllA) und der Union Francophone de l'Audit Interne (UFAI) unterhält der SVIR Kontakte zu Fachinstitutionen des In- und Auslands. Er kann weiteren nationalen und internationalen Berufsorganisationen beitreten.
