## Purpose

Das 3RCC ist ein gemeinnütziger Verein, der die 3R-Grundsätze (Replacement, Reduction and Refinement of Animal Experimentation) in der Schweiz fördert und deren Umsetzung in den Lebenswissenschaften erleichtert, wobei der Schwerpunkt auf qualitativ hochstehender Forschung, Bildung und Kommunikation liegt. Das 3RCC berücksichtigt wissenschaftliche, ethische und regulatorische Überlegungen und entwickelt eine Strategie zur Förderung der 3R-Grundsätze. Es macht seine eigenen Aktivitäten sowie die der Wissenschaft, Forschung und Bildung im Zusammenhang mit den 3R sichtbar und bekannt. Das 3RCC richtet seine Aktivitäten darauf aus, dass diese sowohl bei den Mitgliederinstitutionen als auch auf nationaler Ebene grosse Wirkung entfalten. Der Verein subventioniert wissenschaftliche Projekte im Bereich 3R.
