## Purpose

Übernahme der Trägerschaft für das im Centre PasquART domizilierte Kunsthaus der Stadt und Region Biel sowie Bereitstellung, Verwaltung und Weiterentwicklung einer gemeinsamen baulichen und betrieblichen Infrastruktur (Centre PasquART) für das Kunsthaus sowie für verwandte Kulturbetriebe, mit denen sie individuelle Verträge abschliesst. Das Kunsthaus vermittelt mit seinem Programm primär aktuelles Kunstschaffen in monographischen und thematischen Wechselausstellungen, ergänzt durch solche mit historischen Aspekten. Mit seinen Ausstellungen (und der Sammlungstätigkeit der Stiftung Kunsthaus-Sammlung) trägt das Kunsthaus auch zur Förderung der Kunstschaffenden bei. Durch weitere kulturelle Veranstaltungen soll die Zusammenarbeit mit anderen Kunstsparten gepflegt werden. Die Stiftung kann unter bestimmten Voraussetzungen die Verwaltung und Betreuung von Kunstsammlungen, inbesondere derjenigen der Stadt Biel übernehmen.
