## Purpose

Der Zweck der Stiftung besteht darin, die in § 2 erwähnten Werke der Sammlung E.G. Bührle der Stiftung dauernd zu Eigentum zu übergeben und damit rechtlich zu verselbständigen und sie auf diese Weise als Ganzes zu erhalten und der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich zu machen. Die Stiftung verfolgt weder Erwerbs- noch Selbsthilfezwecke. Den Stiftern steht das Recht zu, der Stiftung weitere Kunstwerke zuzuwenden. Zuwendungen von Nachkommen der Stifter bzw. von Dritten müssen im Einklang stehen mit dem Charakter der Sammlung von Emil Georg Bührle und bedürfen des Einverständnisses des Stiftungsrats. Wird die Stiftung aufgelöst, fällt ihre Kunstsammlung und ihr allfälliges weiteres Vermögen nicht an die Stifter oder deren Nachkommen, sondern ist vom Stiftungsrat gemäss § 6 der vorliegenden Statuten zu verwenden.
