Zudem ehrt und fördert die Stiftung Personen, Organisationen und Institutionen, die eine menschliche und mutige Haltung, wie Paul Grüninger sie einnahm, öffentlich vertreten und verbreiten, unterstützt die Aufklärung über rassistische, antisemitische und andere gesellschaftliche oder kulturelle Vorurteile und engagiert sich für die Verbreitung und Durchsetzung der Menschenrechte. Im weiteren unterstützt die Stiftung die wissenschaftliche und publizistische Aufklärung über Flüchtlingsnöte und Menschenrechtsverletzungen, sei es in der Vergangenheit oder in der Gegenwart, sie kann mit direkten Zahlungen die Nöte von Flüchtlingen und anderen Opfern von Menschenrechtsverletzungen zu lindern oder abzuwenden versuchen und setzt sich für die Wiedergutmachung von begangenem Unrecht und für die Verhinderung von neuem Unrecht ein.
