## Purpose

Der Verband ist grundsätzlich auf Bundesebene tätig und bezweckt, die ideellen und wirtschaftlichen Interessen seiner Mitglieder zu wahren und zu fördern. Er setzt sich gemeinsam mit den Sektionen sowie seinen Fachgruppen / Kommissionen für die Förderung der professionellen Fahrausbildung und des berufsmässigen Fahrunterrichts sowie die Sicherheit und Unfallverhütung im Strassenverkehr bzw. einem energieeffizienten Umgang mit der Mobilität ein. Er nimmt insbesondere folgende Aufgaben wahr: Zusammenarbeit mit den Bundesbehörden und den Partnerorganisationen; fachliche und politische Mitarbeit in Fragen der Sicherheit im Strassenverkehr; Koordination der Aus- und Weiterbildung der Fahrlehrer; Information und weitere Dienstleistungen zugunsten der Mitglieder; Öffentlichkeitsarbeit im Interesse von verbesserten Rahmenbedingungen für den Fahrlehrer-Berufsstand. Der Verband ist konfessionell und politisch neutral.
