## Purpose

Der Verein bezweckt die gemeinsame Innovationsförderung und Standortpromotion in der Nordwestschweiz. Er hat das Ziel, einen Beitrag zu einem nachhaltigen und qualitativen Wachstum der Wertschöpfung zu leisten durch: a. die Förderung von Innovationsprojekten in Unternehmen und die Unterstützung von Neugründungen in innovativen und wertschöpfungsstarken Branchen; b. den nicht gewinnorientierten Betrieb von Innovationsparks und die Förderung der damit verbundenen Forschungs- und Entwicklungstätigkeiten; c. die Förderung des Wissenaustauschs zwischen den in den Innovationsparks angesiedelten Forschungsinstitutionen und Firmen sowie deren Vernetzung; d. die Ausrichtung von Inkubator- und Acceleratorprogrammen auch in Zusammenarbeit mit Dritten; d. die Förderung der Vernetzung von Unternehmen sowie die Verbesserung des Wissens- und Technologietransfers (WTT) zwischen Unternehmen und Forschungsinstitutionen; f. die Förderung eines attraktiven Innovationsklimas in der Region; g. die Promotion des Wirtschaftsstandorts im In- und Ausland; h. die Akquisition auswärtiger Unternehmen und deren Betreuung bis zum Ansiedlungsentscheid sowie allfällige weiterführende Unterstützungen in Zusammenarbeit mit den Kantonen. Wo sinnvoll können die Kantone auch vor dem Ansiedlungsentscheid bei der Akquisition einbezogen werden; i. die Immobilienvermittlung in Zusammenarbeit mit den Kantonen; j. die Erfassung von Kundenrückmeldungen zur Qualität der Standortfaktoren und Rahmenbedingungen in der Region und Weitergabe dieser Informationen an die Mitglieder des Vereins. Der Verein arbeitet eng mit den kantonalen Innovations-, Wirtschafts-, oder Standortförderungsorganisationen zusammen. Wo nötig oder sinnvoll, arbeitet der Verein zudem mit anderen nationalen, regionalen oder im grenznahen Ausland ansässigen Innovations-, Wirtschafts-, oder Standortförderungsorganisationen zusammen und bietet Kooperationsplattformen für Aktivitäten mit gleicher oder ähnlicher Ausrichtung an. Der Verein ist gemeinnützig. Er verfolgt keinen Erwerbszweck.
